Sustainability at Puffin Technology
According to CBC News, Canadian government will ban the plastic bags, straws, cutlery and other single-use plastic items by the end of 2022. "Animals like this whale shark can get hurt or die if they end up with plastics in their bodies".

At Puffin Technology, sustainability is not only a significant part of our strategy- it is the meaning of our existence. We are committed to running our business in a long-term sustainable manner as fellow members of a circular economy. We hope to encourage sustainable change with our technology and by our example.
Circular Economy
BSR (Biodegradable Starch Resin) is a 100% fully biodegradable material derived from renewable resources. BSR has higher temperature resistance (102~115 degrees) and its products can be fully decomposed into carbon dioxide, water, and biological matrix by microorganisms in a short period of time. BSR has excellent physical properties such as small shrinkage, non-sticky, good toughness, high strength, and good dimensional stability, and BSR does not contain any difficult-to-decompose petroleum-based ordinary plastics and inorganic fillers. The composition uses thermoplastic plants to achieve 100% bio degradation.
BSR plays an important role in circular economy. Transforming organic waste into BSR: a high-performing, compostable alternative to single-used plastics.
